Project in PARA

2023-02-05

Project is "a series of tasks linked to a goal, with a deadline(Forte 2017a)". They are small-batch projects(Forte 2018b), instead of the huge ones in the common sense.

A project has 3 component:

tiny scoped and short-term committed
they are in small-batch, finish-able on a daily to weekly basis.
clear desired outcome(Forte 2018b)
how this project is considered success and completed. The outcome definition should be in in detail and falsifiable(Forte 2018c). It is a hypotheses(Forte 2018c) that requires making surface assumptions, and adjustable over time towards the deadline.
deadline
when is the final deadline for checking the desired outcome. Even if the date is arbitrarily(Forte 2018a) picked, it serves as a reminder for ourselves.

A project is always bound to an Area.(Forte 2017a) Different from areas, it requires(Forte 2017a) focus and ruthless driving toward its outcome.

Project is the most actionable(Forte 2017a) category of PARA. That is, it is most relevant to the current work, and should be done in near future. A Project should be engaged with on a daily basis(Forte 2017b), in day-to-day routine(Forte 2017a).
